Photo Classes!!

Hey everyone!! I am teaching my "Focus on Photos" class at Yellow Bird Scrapbook Store.

We have 2 dates, so I hope you can make it!

March 19th, 6:30pm {Thursday Night}

OR

April 4th, 2pm {Saturday}

It is a 90 minute presentation and then a casual question & answer session afterwards. You will be given a set of notes. It is helpful if you bring your camera and manual, but not mandatory.

The class is $15 and ONLY $5 if you have previously taken the class!! I have had a lot of people take a refresher course after a few years or after they bought a new camera.

This class is for all levels and cameras.

I hope you can join us, if you are out of town...I have the class on cd available on our etsy shop.

"Bon Voyage!" class

Hey everyone!! I am teaching at Yellow Bird Scrapbook Store on April 23, at 6:30pm (it's a Thursday night). Most of you know Yellow Bird Scrapbooking store, but if you don't...it is in El Cajon, right off Highway 8.

This is a great scrapbook page for any vacation photos, I used cruise photos, but you can use any travel photos you may have. If you went on the Yellow Bird Scrapbook Cruise, this would be a great class to attend!
The layout has one 4x6 inch photo, one 2x3 photo and one 1/4 wallet photo. The mini accordion album holds 5 wallet photos and room for an itinerary, or you can journal on that page, but there is an index tab on the mini album that says "itinerary" but, as always, you can write something else on the index tab or skip the tab all together :) So if you weren't keeping count, the layout has 8 photos on it!!

If you are planning on attending, bring your trimmer, adhesive, scissors, paper piercer, piercing pad, liquid glue (I recommend Designer Dries Clear Glue) and a xyron x for the die cut letters :) Hope to see you there!!!

Ensenada

Ensenada was beautiful. Everyone told me that there wasn't much to see and how Cabo was so much better and...I did enjoy the beaches in Cabo San Lucas, but in Cabo we were bombarded with people selling jewelry, hats, tshirts, whistles...Ensenada was less touristy and quiet. We took a tour to LaBufadora Bay to see the Blowhole. Our tour guide was so much fun. It was very scenic and relaxing. The tour bus would pull over and stop anywhere we wanted, not like the US at all. At the Blowhole there was a marketplace and we shopped and got FABULOUS churros. I thought we had eaten some good churros living here in San Diego, but these were amazing!! warm and greasy - covered in cinnamon sugar. The water was so clear and blue, the photos just don't do it justice. Our tour bus was to leave back for the ship at 2:00. I thought we had to rush to catch it, when we arrived I didn't see our bus or the tour guide or...it was 2:02...I thought they had left us! - we could have hopped another bus if they had room, it wasn't like we were going to have to become part of the local population, but I was amazed we missed it, I mean we were only 2 minutes late...Our bus was parked in the shade and our tour guide, the bus driver and most of the tour group was in a little restaurant drinking beer and eating carne asada tacos :) we didnt leave until about 2:30.

CRUISIN'!!!

The start...

OK, first things first...there is a new video "blast from the past" up on Leah's Blog. Just follow the link to the right "scrappy videos" and it will get you there. it is a very fun video and then there is a preview of our road trip to the Central Coast, when we taught up at JR Designs.

Just got back from the "lifesavers cruise" with Yellow Bird Scrapbook Store :)!! wow, that was the best vacation I have ever had! I taught with Leah Fung - she taught an amazing shadow box project and I taught a mini album. We did 3 make n takes and had so much fun with everyone on the cruise. I hope ALL the women sign up for the next cruise in November!!!

In case you aren't jealous enough...when we left San Diego, it was RAINING!! and it was like 85 degrees in Cabo San Lucas and I got a TAN! We sailed on the Carnival Cruise "Elation" - it is just like the commercials, the pool, the sun, the beach, the food, the drinks....It really is the FUN SHIP!! we loved our towel animals, and Ferdinand and Gede were totally great waiters.

Thanks to everyone who went on the Yellow Bird scrapbook cruise, and congratulations to Cookie, who won the Epson Picturemate. Brenda who won the Quickutz shilouette, and Gina who won an amazing prize basket!!! Thanks to Paper House who donated wonderful prize packs, Chartpak/Frances Meyer for the wonderful supplies, cardstock stickers and papers for the mini book album class, Epson for the GREAT picturemate prize and especially to Pam and Coco who asked me to teach on the cruise!! Yellow Bird Scrapbook store rocks!!
The morning after I got home, I awoke to a sad reality..I immediately called my housemate Sandy and asked "Where are my chocolates on my pillow and towel animals!?!" Sandy replied..."On the Fun Ship".

Here are some photos from the trip...I will post some photos from Cabo San Lucas tomorrow, and then Ensenada.
