Thank you!!

I just wanted to say thank you to every one who stopps by my blog.

I really do appreciate it and it makes me happy that you take the time to see my latest project or see what we are up to in our lives.

Since I can't send you all a thank you note (since I don't even know who all of you are) :)...

Here are some virtual flowers - I cut them at our new home we are moving into. I have the prettiest master bathroom with this cute little bud vase on the wall.

Oh, and my white balance was set - the walls are a nice shade of green.

beach thoughts **Around the Block**

I was inspired to make this page while sitting on the beach, I sketched it out on my pink legal pad there too. We go to the beach a lot durring the summer, and this summer we have been going almost every day. The beach is so relaxing and peaceful. I watch the girls, reapply sunscreen, read magazines, and take photos. My thoughts go like this:

1, 2, 3, 4 kids. see them all. hmmm, maybe hallie needs more sunscreen. Oh, I should have brought more work with me. What time is it anyway?? I could so go for a nap right now....

Counting kids, reapplying sunscreen, handing out snacks and reading a magazine or two. Life is hard. **sigh** :)

AROUND THE BLOCK supplies used:
big letter brads for Beach
font dot flocked letter stickers for thoughts
big brads for the flip flops, sunny days sun, and the crab.
pattern paper
phrase maker for small word stickers
paper treats embroidered brackets
tape writer for blue journaling strips (the tape is blue with white dots)
paper gator to scallop the edges of the pattern paper
I used thier palm tree brad as a pattern for my felt and button palm tree

3 girls & a kitty **Around the Block**

Here is my latest layout, "3 Girls & a Kitty" all the products are Around the Block, I mostly used the "Spring Puffy Brad Kit" - you can attach the shapes with a brad or just attach them with some liquid glue like I did. I love the puffy shapes, they are like the puffy stickers we thought were so cool in Jr high, but these are for big girls :)

The epoxy letters and glitter and flocking kit are also Around the Block. The door opens for the journaling - I used the ATB tape writer for the journaling.

I was going to make 4 stars for the chimney, but one fell on the floor and I was too tired to pick it up. It looked better with 3 anyhow....or at least I tell myself that.

Snails

Here is my latest layout for Around the Block. I used the Puffy Brads from the "Spring Puffy Brads Kit" {the new life, butterfly and snail trail} they are puffy embellishments that can be attached with a mini or uber mini brad or just glued on (like I did). I also used the phrase maker to print out "snails" along the side. For the rounded corners I used my Paper Gator {fave tool so for the moment} - Brads, arrow and epoxy letter stickers are all ATB also, and of course, handwriting phobic me used my Around the Block Tape Writer to make the journaling strips, did you notice the darling font??? That font is named "Elegant" - you should see all the new fonts and tape colors -aaaack love it!!

My darling Hallie L-O-V-E-S snails. EEEEEEEEWWWW....But her love for them has taught me compassion towards these little mollusks and I feel bad if I step on one. If a snail is in the sidewalk and in danger of being stepped on we will move him to a safer place.

I draw the line when it comes to letting one propel itself on me. {shudder}

What have I been up to??

What have we been up to? and why is my blog so neglected?

This is just a part of why I have been MIA...

Family was in town visiting: Val and Kayleen and then Sherry and Kara.

The Beach is a huge part of why there has been a work slow down and we are so tan...
Flying locally and flying up to Orange County

Pet snails, so I had to make a snail house and clean snail poop...

Hallie's 8th Birthday , slumber parties and lots of cake...
Baking Brownies and Dinner parties....

More scrapping for CHA....{notice the coffee mug on the table}

Many , Many hours scrapping

Swimming and tire swings....

Sunsets and more flying....

The Fiesta at the Mission De Alcala and the Blessing of the Animals - Missy didn't think being splattered with Holy Water 3 times was so much of a blessing....

Finally moving and more scrapping... tomorrow or so I will start sharing my layouts and projects for Around the Block.

I just can't say enough about the Epson Picture Mate, it is amazing and the quality and speed will blow you away. It is excellent on ink and the colors are vibrant without being bizarre and the clarity impresses me. It has so many sizes and features which are all so user friendly, it is by far the best portable printer I have ever used.

Until later, I remain your scrappy friend -
